The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.
SASSA might be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency stated it can be alarmed with regard to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a superior number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area every day. The support stage produced for intervention activities a significant inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for your office to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this SRD reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to help the servicing of all shoppers and enhance entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
